Ettrick Cemetery Fund Raiser
Project 2
Project Completion - Early 2024
Working closely with the Brower family,
this memorial edition will allow
Ettrick to remain in our memories
thanks to the Brower family.
Updated Reprint of her 2006 Journal
Her last memories dated 2014
will be included in the Reprint
Journal of Mrs. Charlotte M. Browder
dated 2006 - out of print.
Plans are underway to reprint the Browder Journal
in the near future and include her last addition
that was never printed.
Any and all proceeds beyond printing cost
with go to those
in charge of maintaining the
Historic
Ettrick Cemetery.
Charlotte Browder grew up in Ettrick Virginia,
moved often and lived on many streets and avenues in Ettrick over the years.
This allowed her to get to know everyone and everything that went on in this
small village.
She begin recording her memories in a journal and later saved her memories on a
computer.
In 2006 she decided to have her journal printed for her Ettrick Friendship Club
members. She continued to save her memories on a computer until 2014 but
never updated her 2006 book.
This second edition has her last memories of Ettrick as she witnessed Ettrick
change for a river cotton mill village into a University Community in her
lifetime.
This second edition is made possible with the permission of her family members
and their sharing of personal thoughts and images.
She was an exceptional woman and lived in an exceptional place.
Working with the new Sadie's Garden Club of Ettrick to help support the Historic
Ettrick Cemetery, this book will soon be made available through Sadie's Garden
Club of Ettrick, thanks to the Brower family for their help and permission.
Announcements about where and how to get a copy will soon be released on the
site.
