Listening to short wave radio as a child, I first seriously
started practicing Morse Code in 1972 and earned
my Extra Class Amateur License in 1973.
I continued improving my code until I obtained my
Commercial 2nd Telegraph Certificate and started
teaching classes on the code in 1979.
I never worked in the field under a First Class
Commercial Licensee, therefore never earned my First Class
Certificate which required one year experience.
