2010 Pastor's Report
My ministry at Trinity, other than the outreach programs, has mainly focused on
worship and pastoral care.
Our worship service involves some laity participation.
This participation adds something special to the service and seems to be
valuable to the laity.
Our lay leader, Sara Cordero-Cruz, always assists me with the Sacrament of Holy
Communion.
In addition to our laity participation, we have several choral groups that sing
for worship.
One singing group is the "Trinity Songbirds" we have "A Quartet", and planning
to form a "Men's Chorus".
Trinity is blessed the have two piano players and an organist to provide our
music each Sunday.
The music variety is good but we are still looking for a full time organist just
to play on Sunday mornings.
Next to worship, pastoral Care is most
important.
I take the Sacrament of Holy Communion to the home of our shut-ins,
to be present with members during sickness or are having surgery.
It is important for the pastor to be present during these times, and of course,
to be with the family at the time of death and to help in preparing the service
for the deceased loved one.
The pastor's presence will be remembers more than anything he or she says.
My wife, Chris and I, are happy to be here at Trinity and to serve God's people to the Glory of Christ and His Church.
